Holiday Reminder

It’s hard to believe, but Christmas is almost here! And with that in mind, we wanted to share a reminder that the Barton Creative team will be taking a holiday break from December 23rd until January 1st. We are so looking forward to spending some festive downtime with our loved ones and wish you and yours all the best in the days ahead.

Please know that management will be monitoring our hello and support emails daily for any urgent communication, but everything else will be replied to when we are back in the office on January 2nd.

The More the Merrier

We have other exciting news to share… our family is expanding! Megan and Nicole are both expecting, with their little ones set to arrive in February and March 2024. We know that this may raise some questions about how our services may be affected. Rest assured, we have had extensive team-wide discussions over the past few months to create a comprehensive plan to minimize any impact to our clientele — covering everything from communication expectations, client support, project management, and our usual day-to-day processes.

Duties have already been successfully shared across the entire team for the last few months, with key team members increasing to full-time capacity. Here are some other noteworthy highlights:

  • Limited Maternity Leave: Both Megan and Nicole have elected to take a limited maternity leave due to the flexible and online nature of our work. This will include a critical 4 week period to focus on their recovery and enjoy some special time with their families and new little ones. After that, they will be returning to their duties with a flexible schedule that allows for them to work around their newborns schedules.

  • Support Availability: In the initial 4 week period, Megan and Nicole will be unavailable for discovery and support calls. Other team members, including co-founder Robyn, will be available as needed during this time. We will also be offering alternative support solutions including prioritized email support via our new ticketing software, and the ability to submit discovery questionnaires for new inquiries who aren’t interested in booking a traditional discovery call.

  • Communication Guidelines: We will continue to monitor all team emails daily from Monday to Friday. Emails will be triaged with urgent emails being replied to same day and all other emails being responded to within 2-3 business days. Please note that this initial response is intended as a confirmation of receipt of your email - if applicable, we will include an estimated timeline for requested services as part of that initial response.

  • Turnaround Times: As always, estimated turnaround times will depend on the nature of your request and our scheduled availability. We are already booking a significant number of website projects into February so if you are wanting to reserve your project, please don’t delay in reaching out. For all other requests - including branding packages, general graphic design, website maintenance, and our other marketing services - timelines can vary from 3-5 business days for smaller projects, 1-2 weeks for medium-sized projects, and longer for complex projects.

New Year, New Goals

If that wasn’t exciting enough, we’ve also been hard at work planning our goals for 2024.

Our planned highlights include but are not limited to:

  • A Website Refresh including a new homepage, streamlined navigation, and updated service pages

  • New Ticketing Software for improved client experience and ease of converting requests to tasks in our project management software, Teamwork*

  • A Comprehensive Marketing Plan including a blogging content calendar and expanded online presence

  • New Templates + Merch which will be available both on our website and our new Etsy shop

We have other plans in the works that we will share more details on later in the Spring, but these are our top priority for Q1. We are so excited for everything that the future holds, not only for you and your brand but for ours as well!
