Mon Valley Initiative (MVI) is a regional community development organization serving communities south of Pittsburgh, offering job assistance, financial coaching, homeownership counseling, real estate development, and managing over 160 units of affordable rental housing. Their website needed a modern redesign to improve usability, consolidate content, and create a more effective user experience. We built their new site in Squarespace 7.1, streamlining the structure for clarity and optimizing navigation with a custom mega menu. Using SquareKicker, CSS, and JavaScript, we incorporated loading animations and dynamic content displays to enhance engagement. The new site is fully mobile-responsive and SEO-optimized, making it easier for visitors to explore MVI’s services, navigate rental listings, and take key actions like contacting the organization or making a donation. The result is a modern, user-friendly platform that effectively supports MVI’s mission and community outreach.
